Regal Oakmont is an eight-screen theater in the South Trail Village shopping center on Cortez Road West. It opened in 1989 as the Oakmont 8 and has since been refitted with reclining seats and reserved seating.
It's the closest first-run theater to Anna Maria Island and Bradenton Beach, about a 20-minute drive, which makes it the go-to rainy-day movie for beach visitors.
