Ruth Eckerd Hall

A 2,180-seat concert hall in Clearwater for the tours that skip Sarasota.

Ruth Eckerd Hall opened in 1983 with about 2,180 seats. Like the Van Wezel, it was designed by Taliesin Associated Architects.

The campus also includes the smaller Murray Theatre and the outdoor BayCare Sound, and the organization runs the Capitol Theatre in downtown Clearwater.

Tips

  • The main hall uses continental seating (no center aisle), so arrive early if you're mid-row.
  • Allow about an hour's drive from Bradenton across the Skyway.
